Thiruvarur is a ancient town in the middle of Tamil Nadu. It is full of paddy fields. That is one reason why it has been a town for centuries. Agriculture supported a town, where wonderful temples were built and kingdoms had their capitals. And musicians and scholars gathered.
Thiruvarur temple, has a thick air of history. Bit like Chidambram temple.
